Animatour
Over the course of history, museums haven't changed all that much. They're often perceived as stodgy, high-brow, and antiquated, especially as our experience of the world becomes more and more digital. Animatour is a virtual reality art gallery that goes beyond the velvet rope – bringing a flexible, portable, fully immersive experience to younger generations.
Role
In college, I minored in Art History. Classes on Greek and Roman sculpture, Indian architecture, Late Antique art, and landscapes of the Hudson River School stand out with fond memory. But I was always saddened to see a general lack of enthusiasm for art history outside the classroom – after all, it is the best window to the human experience. I began dreaming of ways to make studying art more accessible, and the idea for Animatour was born.
